Dave is the top commission recipient in the 2018 First Music commissioning contest from the New York Youth Symphony Jazz Orchestra. His new work for big band, “The Great Hill,” will be performed by the NYYS Jazz Band on May 6, 2019 at The Appel Room (Jazz at Lincoln Center) in NYC. Dave is appointed Assistant Professor of Jazz Piano at University of North Texas.
